ObamaCare Lies

Last week, Representative Joe Wilson (R-SC) called President Obama a liar during his speech on health care. As a result, Wilson had to apologize to Obama, who accepted. But for some reason, Wilson is now being pressured by various Democrats into further humiliating himself, by apologizing again on the Senate floor. But IS President Obama a liar? Here are the facts:

• “ObamaCare” is a health insurance option that people supposedly get to keep, even if they lose their jobs. There is a Federal income tax refund for people who get their health insurance through their employers, a benefit taxpayers don’t get to have if they choose to buy health insurance elsewhere. If liberals truly care about people who have lost their health insurance along with their jobs, does it make any sense for liberals to penalize taxpayers for not getting health insurance through their employers?!

• According to President Obama, the healthcare bill in question is not supposed to provide coverage for abortions or for illegal immigrants. Why then, did liberals Howard Dean and Rep. Jan Schakowsky call these provisions “despicable lies”? Also, last month Representative Nathan Deal (R-GA) offered an amendment that would require health insurance providers to use the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements Program to keep illegal immigrants from getting health insurance. All Republicans and five Democrats present at a House committee voted for it; 29 Democrats voted against the proposal, ending it. Evidence would suggest that liberals want to waste taxpayer money by giving health insurance to illegal immigrants.
